The Master of Arts in Geography and Spatial Justice program at Maynooth University is a unique one-year program focused on understanding the spatial elements of inequality, injustice, and power. The curriculum covers topics such as geospatial analysis, political geography, urban planning, human rights law, and public health. Students will also gain hands-on experience through case studies and research projects that explore how geographic and social factors interact to create or perpetuate inequality. Graduates of the program will be well-equipped for careers in public policy, urban planning, community development, international aid organizations and more. They may also pursue further studies leading towards advanced degrees such as a Ph.D., allowing them to become experts within their chosen field while making meaningful contributions towards reducing global inequality. With an emphasis on understanding the intersection between social justice issues and the environment in both local and global contexts, this program provides students with a unique opportunity to make a real difference in the world we live in.
