Clinical Speech and Language Studies MSc

The Master of Science in Clinical Speech and Language Studies at Trinity College Dublin is a 1-year program designed to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and clinical experience needed to become successful speech-language pathologists. The program combines theory-based learning with practical experience in real clinical settings, providing students with an understanding of best practice in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of communication disorders. Students will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience through evidence-based lab classes and clinical placements in a variety of healthcare settings. Graduates from this program are well prepared for careers as independent practitioners or within multidisciplinary teams working on projects ranging from intervention strategies for children with developmental language disorders to rehabilitation programs for stroke patients. With a strong emphasis on communication, collaboration, and problem solving, this program provides students with excellent career prospects and path towards making meaningful contributions towards improving peoples’ lives.
