Theatre and Performance MPhil

The Theatre and Performance MPhil Program at Trinity College Dublin is a one-year comprehensive program designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to pursue careers in research and/or practice-based theatre and performance. The curriculum covers topics such as dramaturgy, directing, writing for the stage, theatre analysis, and performance theory. In addition to coursework, students will also have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience through projects involving script development, directing or theatrical production. The program is unique in its interdisciplinary approach, incorporating coursework from literature, history, anthropology, sociology and other related fields. Graduates of this program will be well-prepared for careers in academia or professional theatre production with a strong track record for success in the industry.
