General English (20 Weeks)

The 1 semester Preparatory program at UCD English Language Academy is an intensive 20-week course that provides students with the language skills and confidence to excel in an academic study setting. The program includes a variety of courses to help students develop their reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills while also increasing their familiarity with the English language. Through interactive classes and activities, learners will have the opportunity to build proficiency while also developing their intercultural understanding. This program is unique in its focus on helping students succeed in their studies by providing a comprehensive overview of academic English as well as guidance on how to use it effectively in academic settings. Graduates of this program will be well-prepared for further studies at the undergraduate or graduate level, having developed strong language and communication skills needed for success in an international setting.
