Criminology - BA (Hons)

The three-year Bachelor of Arts in Criminology at University College Cork offers an innovative and interdisciplinary program of study that combines the principles of law, sociology, psychology and politics to provide students with an understanding of all aspects of crime, criminal justice, and the criminal justice system. This program features a rich curriculum that covers topics such as criminal behavior, social control theory, corrections & sentencing, and forensic science. Students will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience through laboratory work where they can apply their knowledge to analyze real-world cases. Graduates from this program will be well prepared for careers in law enforcement or corrections services; crime analysis or research; social work; public policy development; or criminology & legal studies.
