Global Gallery Studies (MA)

The Master of Arts in Global Gallery Studies at University College Cork is an exciting one-year program that provides students with an in-depth understanding of the history and management of galleries and collections worldwide. The program features a comprehensive curriculum that covers topics such as gallery exhibition design, curation, museum studies, and art history. Students will also gain hands-on experience throughout the year with internships or field trips to museums, galleries and art institutions. The program is unique in its interdisciplinary approach, combining coursework from art history, anthropology, design, and business studies to provide students with a well-rounded education in global gallery studies. Graduates of the program will be well-prepared for careers in museums or galleries across the world. They may also pursue further study leading towards advanced degrees such as Doctoral programs allowing them to become experts within their chosen field while making meaningful contributions towards preserving culture and heritage through their work.
