Planning and Sustainable Development (MPlan)

The Master of Arts in Planning & Sustainable Development at University College Cork is a 2-year program that provides students with an interdisciplinary education in urban and regional planning. The program features a comprehensive curriculum that covers topics such as land use planning, environment and resource management, urban design and development, public policy, and community engagement. Students will have the opportunity to gain practical experience through collaborative projects, simulations, and placements with local governments or other relevant organizations. The program also offers unique opportunities for international study exchanges and internships to help students gain additional exposure to global perspectives on sustainable development. Graduates of this program will be well-prepared for a variety of careers related to local government, private sector consulting firms, non-profit organizations or research institutions. This program provides students with the skills needed to make an impact in their communities by working together to create more vibrant, sustainable cities and regions worldwide.
