Social Work Studies (PG Dip)

The Postgraduate Diploma in Social Work Studies at University College Cork is a two-year program that equips students with the knowledge and skills required to work as professional social workers. The program provides students with a comprehensive education in topics such as human rights and social justice, child protection, community development, mental health, and drug and alcohol abuse. In addition to classroom teaching, students will also gain hands-on experience through placements in health and social care settings. Graduates of the program will be well-equipped for careers across multiple sectors including public sector service delivery, third-level education, advocacy organisations and international development work.
