Global History MA

The Master of Arts in Global History at University College Dublin is a one-year program designed to provide students with an understanding of the key developments, events, and trends that have shaped the world. Through a combination of research-led seminars, lectures, and independent study, this program offers an opportunity to explore various aspects of global history from a variety of perspectives. The program covers topics such as cross-cultural interaction and exchange; economic globalization; political systems; human rights; international law; environmental justice; gender studies; migration and diasporas and more. This interdisciplinary approach allows students to gain an in-depth understanding of the complexities of global history while developing their critical thinking skills and enhancing their research abilities. Graduates from this program will be well prepared for further studies in global history or related fields or for careers in academia, public policy, or international organizations where they can make meaningful contributions towards our understanding of the global past.
