The one-year Master of Arts in Race, Migration & Decolonial Studies at University College Dublin provides students with a comprehensive education in this interdisciplinary field. The program combines coursework from multiple departments such as Anthropology, Gender Studies, and Sociology to provide students with an understanding of the histories, identities, and legacies of racial and ethnic minorities. Students will gain critical insight into the systemic marginalization and oppression faced by minority communities throughout history, exploring topics such as colonialism, imperialism, racism, and migration. Through the program's experiential learning opportunities, students will have the chance to apply their knowledge in real-world settings through service learning or research projects. Graduates from this program will have gained essential skills for careers in fields such as public policy, international development, law enforcement or even teaching while also making meaningful contributions towards social justice initiatives.
