The Postgraduate Diploma in Race, Migration & Decolonial Studies at University College Dublin is a one-year program designed to provide students with an in-depth understanding of the complex social, political, and economic issues surrounding race and migration. The program features a comprehensive curriculum that covers topics such as gender, identity, colonialism and postcolonialism, racism, migration policy and politics, and more. With a unique focus on decolonial studies, the program provides students with an opportunity to gain critical insights into the ways in which power relationships shape immigration flows and how racialized categories are constructed. Through this coursework, graduates will be well-prepared to pursue careers in human rights advocacy, immigration law, or public policy development. Graduates may also pursue further studies leading towards advanced degrees such as a Master’s or Doctoral degree allowing them to become experts within their chosen field while making meaningful contributions towards creating more just societies for all.
