Subsurface Characterisation and Geomodelling MSc

The 1-year Master of Science in Subsurface Characterisation & Geomodelling at University College Dublin provides an interdisciplinary and comprehensive education in geological characterisation, reservoir engineering, and geomodelling. The program introduces students to the fundamentals of subsurface characterisation and geomodelling, as well as a range of advanced technologies used in the oil and gas industry such as seismic data analysis, well log analysis, 3D/4D geomodelling methods and rock physics. In addition to coursework, students will also have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience through laboratory work and projects aimed at developing their practical skills. Upon completion of this program, graduates will be well-equipped for careers in industry or research where they can apply their knowledge to solve real-world problems related to energy production or resource management.
