The Master of Arts in Ritual Chant & Song at the University of Limerick is a one-year program that provides students with an immersive exploration into the traditional practices of ritual chant and song. Through courses in anthropology, musicology, and ethnomusicology, students will gain an understanding of ancient practices and learn how to lead and compose ritual chants and songs. This unique program features hands-on experiences through fieldwork visits to sacred sites, workshops in traditional vocal techniques, and practice in improvisation. Students will also have opportunities to collaborate with local musicians and cultural groups to develop their own creative performances.
