Sociology Ph.D

The Ph.D. program in Sociology at the University of Limerick is a four-year program designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of sociological theory and research methodology. This interdisciplinary program offers courses on issues such as gender and sexuality, race, class, cultural sociology, social networks and organizations, global sociology, and public policy. In addition to coursework, students also participate in seminars and workshops that focus on developing their research skills, as well as independent research projects under faculty supervision. The program culminates in the completion of a dissertation based upon original research conducted by each student.
