Human Nutrition and Dietetics (Joint Degree) BSc Hons

The four-year Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition and Dietetics at Trinity College Dublin is an innovative joint degree program that combines the theory and practice of nutrition science with the disciplines of dietetics, food science, and public health. Students will gain a comprehensive understanding of nutrition principles; biochemistry and metabolism; diet planning; dietary assessment; food safety; epidemiology, and public health policy. The curriculum also features hands-on experience through practical placements in healthcare settings as well as laboratory work where students can apply their knowledge to solve real-world problems related to nutrition. This program provides students with the skills and knowledge required for entry into professional practice as registered dietitians or clinical nutritionists. Graduates may pursue further studies leading towards advanced degrees such as Master's programs allowing them to become experts within their chosen field while making meaningful contributions towards improving human health outcomes worldwide.
